Build Interactive Resume with SAP Dashboard Design

With the release of ANZ University Dashboard 2013 Competition information I have started to practice and create something that I wanted to do for long time. I wanted to build an interactive resume which would be more interesting to read. In fact, I found a sample resume created with SAP Business Objects Dashboards at this location. This sample is really good. I am sure if I learn and practice more SAP Dashboards then I would be able to do similar. At this point, I have created a basic one. You can also get more samples and templates within the software. Please go to File > Templates or Samples. With these samples you can really watch how do each component work.

Fig 1 shows that you can use tabs to browse to different sections. I also put social media links by using their favicons.

SLT Replication Issue Due To Timeout Reading Logging Tables

In our company we use SAP LT (Landscape Transformation) replication server to replicate tables from SAP ECC system to SAP HANA in real time. SLT creates trigger for each table that we want to replicate and whenever there is change it stores the changes in the logging table. Later on, these tables are used to update replicated tables in SAP HANA.    This system is really useful when you really need real time replication to SAP HANA. However, it also causes performance issue if proper monitoring is not being performed. Just recently, we faced an issue where we were trying to replicate a large table "VBFA" to SAP HANA in production environment. Every time table replicate status changes to "ERROR" after the initial load. It started to fail when ever SLT tries to read change/delta stored in logging table. Using Application Function Modeler To Create Forecast (APL) Procedure in SAP HANA

In this blog or document, I have shared my experience gained while creating forecast procedure using following features of SAP HANA: APL (Automated Predictive Library) Forecast Function Application Function Modeler (AFM) I haven't seen any convincing blog which promotes this feature of SAP HANA. Personally, I believe it is really good feature for people with beginner or no SQL scripting skills as AFM is graphical tool. However, the end result is a procedure which can be used later for different purpose. I created this forecast procedure based on the use case provided by  Forefront Analytics .
